WARNINGS:

Cable

WARNING: Failure to follow these warnings and instructions can result in property damage, serious personal injury and or loss of life. GAC and wire rope require proper care and maintenance, as such we recommend users follow the recommended practices as published in the "Wire Rope Users Manual" available from The American Iron & Steel Institute. All attachments must have at least the same WLL as the cable used. Clips, thimbles, sleeves, hooks, links, shackles, etc. must match in size, material and strength to provide for adequate safety. Proper installation is required for personal safety and maximum life of the assembly. Inspect all cable assemblies and attachments prior to each use. If any visible damage is apparent (including broken wire strands) dispose of the cable assembly and replace. For specific inspection procedures and requirements consult ANSI and OSHA standards.

WARNING: Never exceed working load limit. Make all wire rope clip terminations/ splices as shown (click here). Do not use on coated cable without stripping away the coating in the area to be terminated. Tighten nut to recommended torque and re-check frequently. Wire rope clips and thimbles are not designed or intended to support loads, as such they have no working load limits or design factors. Thimbles are designed as a wear reduction pad for cable and wire rope and are not intended to support loads. Thimbles should be used whenever an eye is formed in a cable or wire rope. Always match the correct size thimbles to the cable. Never use smaller thimbles, as it will pinch and cut wire strands in the cable, reducing the load capacity.

NOTE: Not approved for overhead lifting
